Welcome to this area! This is where I put out to the world things that make me go “hmmmm”, invite people to think about things that are going on in the world, rant about inequities or systems that make it harder for the people we serve or just things that affect me not only as a social worker , but as a person. I have a lot of thoughts on a lot of things…some of them aren’t fully formed though, so this is where I put this stuff. A place for me to come back to, pick apart, and decide on whether it was a stroke of genius (unlikely), something I need to think about to articulate better (probably) or just something that came out of responding to either a good or bad day (almost always). I take my work seriously but never myself. I believe humour and straightforward talking can help to fix many of the problems in the world and will often poke fun at myself.

I will never apologise though for being opinionated as opinions start conversations which then encourages us to stretch ourselves to see others’ points of view and reflect on how we grow and what we take forward in our practice.
